Cherry Orchard Family Resource Centre The Bungalow, is located at 28 Elmdale Dr, Dublin , IE The Bungalow – Cherry Orchard Family Resource Centre The Bungalow was established in 1990 by The Daughters of Charity, who had moved into the local Elmdale housing estate in 1989. They began with cookery classes for a group of local women as a means of meeting others and combating isolation in the area. Word quickly spread and the numbers attending quickly rose and soon outgrew the original premises. Dublin City Council were ‘gently persuaded’ to provide a more suitable space and The Bungalow was allocated to the Daughters of Charity for the use of the community. The space was soon filled with community members of all ages from infants and toddlers to senior citizens, taking part in parent and toddler groups, adult education classes, cookery, craft and outdoor pursuits to name just a few. | |
